“Hello, my name is Romée Roordink, I am 24 years old and I’ve obtained my Bachelor in Business Administration at the Hotel Management School Maastricht in 2020.”
Why did you choose the hospitality industry?
"As a teenager, I did not have much of a clue about which studies I wanted to follow… However, I was working in restaurants at the time, which led me to the decision of applying to the Hotel Management School in Maastricht. I got accepted and two years later, I got to do my internships at international hotel chains. I’ve felt passionate about this industry from this moment onwards and found out I got a lot of energy from working in dynamic teams within client-facing functions. After graduating, I was able to work in both operations and sales within the serviced apartment industry, allowing me to slowly learn more about revenue management."
When did you first hear about RevControl?
“I didn’t find out about RevControl until I was reached out to via LinkedIn!
I was pleasantly surprised when I found out about its innovative service and the purpose of making hotelier's lives easier.
And not to mention: the office is just (almost) around the corner from my house. Additionally, I was intrigued to learn more when I found out it integrates with most property management systems."
How will you ensure that you provide our customers with the best possible service, both during the onboarding process and during the daily use of RevControl?
“During my previous experiences in support roles, I have learnt to answer queries within less than 2 hours (under normal circumstances). By continuing this habit I believe satisfactory levels will be maintained due to quick resolutions. Furthermore, making sure our support department is always just a phone call, e-mail or even visit away will reassure we remain transparent in our communication."
Do you want to share some nice-to-know details?
“In terms of hobbies, I am definitely not the most interesting person… However, I love finding out about great restaurants and new cuisines and will gladly wait 2 hours to get a table. Please do let me know if you have any suggestions in Eindhoven area! Lastly, I am very much looking forward to start a new adventure within a sector that still focuses on the hospitality industry, but at the same time allows me to learn from a software-using point of view."
